Snowline, established in 1979, is a nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to serving our community by enhancing the lives of those with chronic, serious illness and patients nearing end-of-life. The care provided to patients and families is carried out by Snowline's Interdisciplinary team of professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, medical social workers, spiritual care providers, hospice aides, and volunteers.
Snowline's dedicated staff are experts in delivering end-of-life care, with many earning advanced certifications from the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Hospice benefits are included in Medicare and Medi-Cal and most health insurance plans. The uninsured and palliative care recipients are also served at Snowline through funds from the proceeds of Snowline's thrift stores, a recycle and repurpose processing center enterprise, individual donations, fundraisers, and the United Way.
