Job Description

Arabian Ethicals was established in 1977 to service the pharmaceutical industry as an agent for the management, storage, and distribution of manufacturers’ brands to both the private and governmental sectors.

Today, Arabian Ethicals has grown into one of the leading healthcare distributors in UAE, distributing 50 brands across its pharmaceutical core business, animal health, and consumer division.

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a field-based scientific expert and trusted partner to healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and healthcare stakeholders across the UAE.

The role is responsible for driving high-quality scientific exchange, supporting the adoption of biosimilar oncology therapies, generating actionable medical insights, and ensuring compliant engagement aligned with company strategy.

The MSL plays a critical role in strengthening confidence in oncology treatments through education on clinical data, real-world evidence, and patient access initiatives within the UAE healthcare ecosystem.

1.Scientific Engagement & KOL Management

  • Build and maintain strong peer-to-peer relationships with oncologists, , pharmacists, and key stakeholders across the UAE.
  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and evidence-based scientific presentations on oncology therapies.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Identify and map KOLs, emerging experts, and influence networks across key oncology centers.

2. Medical & Scientific Support

  • Act as the scientific expert for oncology products.
  • Participate in scientific discussions, advisory boards, and medical education initiatives.

3. Market Access & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide scientific support for formulary inclusion, tenders, and payer discussions.
  • Collaborate with market access teams on health authority interactions within the UAE.
  • Contribute to initiatives supporting patient access and treatment adoption.

4. Medical Insights & Strategy

  • Capture and analyze field insights on prescribing trends, competitive landscape, and barriers to access.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to medical plans, brand strategy, and therapy area development.

5. Scientific Presence & External Engagement

  • Represent the company at congresses and scientific events.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and emerging clinical data.

6. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all activities comply with UAE regulations, company SOPs, and ethical standards.
  • Adhere to pharmacovigilance requirements, including adverse event reporting.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc Pharmacy or equivalent preferred).
  • Strong scientific knowledge in oncology required.
  • Understanding and application of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical research principles.

Additional Information

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including Medical Affairs/MSL experience.
  • Proven experience in oncology is essential (Bone metastases, Bone Loss is a strong advantage).
  • Experience in biosimilars is preferred.
  • UAE market experience is essential; exposure to tenders and formulary processes is a plus.
