The Position

Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

The primary role of the MSL is to provide scientific information to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and to support medical / scientific information needs of HCPs in their designated therapeutic area.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Responsible for engagement of external experts and scientific and clinical exchange between Boehringer Ingelheim and HCPs to build the understanding and the value to clinical practice of Boehringer Ingelheim products aligned with scientific objectives in IBP
• Responsible for documenting scientific interactions between Boehringer Ingelheim and HCPs and for sharing respective information to the brand team
• Provides and delivers important information to HCPs about the appropriate use of Boehringer Ingelheim products.Responsible for execution of advocacy development plans and support execution of medical affairs activities based on IBP in collaboration with brand team
• May initiate interaction with external expert/ HCP when Boehringer Ingelheim needs to gain insight or to gather specific feedback to guide internal decision-making (perception tracking/ treatment landscape)
• Provides formal medical/ scientific information to HCPs in response to unsolicited requests with appropriate information

Requirements

Minimum Education/Degree Requirements: Bachelors' degree with focus on Sciences, Nursing or Pharmacy or Doctoral degree (MD or PhD in Sciences)

Required Capabilities (Skills, Experience, Competencies):

• Experience in pharmaceutical industry especially in Medical Affairs is preferred
• Computer literate - MS Word, Excel, power point
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
