
As Medical Science Liaison (Cardiometabolic), you will be a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders and academic institutions across Alberta. You will turn complex clinical evidence into clear, relevant scientific exchange and bring insights from the field back to shape medical strategy. Your work helps healthcare professionals apply evidence in real-life care, supporting progress for people living with cardiometabolic disease, obesity and diabetes across Canada.

You will be a scientific bridge between the clinical community and Novo Nordisk, making sure healthcare professionals in cardiometabolic medicine have accurate, relevant information – and that what you learn in the field shapes what we do next.
You will join the Cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison team within Medical & Regulatory at Novo Canada. In Canada, the team provides scientific expertise, strategic medical guidance and strong partnerships with the clinical community.
Externally, your closest partners will be Key Opinion Leaders, healthcare professionals and academic institutions across Alberta. Internally, you will work closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Access, Clinical, Regulatory and Commercial to align on scientific objectives – bringing the voice of the field into decisions and helping teams move with clarity and speed.
You will be trusted to own your territory and your relationships, with the support of a collaborative team and the freedom to make your scientific voice heard. Field insights you gather will help shape medical strategy, so your expertise has a direct route to influence. You will keep growing through scientific exchange with leading clinicians, conference participation and close cross-functional work, supported by continuous learning and career development.
Salary: For this role, the annual base salary ranges from $116,680 – $166,680. Placement in the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on your skills, competencies and knowledge, and how your relevant experience matches the position requirements.
Incentives: Based on the role’s level and other factors, the salary package may include short-term (STI) and/or long-term (LTI) incentives.
