Job Description

Bridge cutting-edge science with clinical practice, and shape how innovation reaches the Thai healthcare community.

Your new role

As a Medical Science Liaison, you'll sit at the intersection of traditional medical science liaison activities and cutting-edge digital engagement. Working at the heart of Thailand's healthcare ecosystem, you'll build strategic relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, ensuring that scientific evidence translates into improved patient outcomes for those living with diabetes, obesity, and other serious chronic diseases.

Your tasks will include:

- Building and nurturing strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and professional associations to develop advocacy and advance therapy area knowledge

- Serving as the scientific expert on Novo Nordisk's portfolio, competitor evidence, and therapy area principles—continuously deepening your knowledge through self-study and regular journal clubs

- Leading and executing HCP interaction plans using closed-loop engagement principles, generating medical insights that shape therapy area and brand strategy

- Designing and delivering impactful medical education programmes, training sessions, and workshops tailored to healthcare professionals' needs

- Communicating key publications and clinical data to KOLs and HCPs through scientific meetings, symposia, and both traditional and digital channels

- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including medical affairs, clinical, regulatory, sales, and marketing to identify knowledge gaps and deliver solutions aligned with business needs

- Generating field insights from your interactions and providing written reports to inform medical strategy and improve patient outcomes

This position requires travel (>50%) and flexible working hours as activities align with physicians' schedules and scientific meeting timelines.

Your new department

Novo Nordisk has been working closely with stakeholders in Thailand for more than 40 years. Our Medical Affairs team plays a critical role in defeating diabetes, obesity, and other serious chronic diseases by bridging scientific evidence with clinical practice. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, MSL & DOL, you'll be part of a team that brings innovation to the Thai healthcare community with integrity and scientific rigor, always keeping patient outcomes at the centre of everything we do.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a scientifically-minded professional who thrives on building meaningful relationships and translating complex data into actionable insights. You'll bring with you:

- MD, PhD, PharmD, or Pharmacy Graduate/Postgraduate degree

- 1-2 years of experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment (preferably with demonstrated success in a Medical Affairs role)

- Proven expertise in engaging with healthcare professionals and professional associations, with strong ability to establish and nurture professional relationships with thought leaders and KOLs

- Scientific communication expertise—the ability to effectively communicate complex medical and scientific information with clarity during symposia, workshops, and meetings

- Strong data interpretation skills and the ability to generate actionable insights from clinical and scientific data

- Comprehensive understanding of medical and pharmaceutical regulations, ensuring all activities adhere to compliance standards and ethical guidelines

- Adaptability and autonomy—capable of working independently while remaining flexible to evolving priorities and complex tasks

- Willingness to travel extensively (>50%) and work flexible hours aligned with healthcare professionals' schedules
