The Medical Scheduler I supports patient care and access by coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate records to ensure efficient scheduling and a positive patient experience. This role communicates with patients, providers, and staff to facilitate timely and accurate scheduling in compliance with regulatory standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.High school diploma or equivalent.At least 1 year of experience in customer service or a healthcare environment.
Associate degree or higher in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field. Experience in medical scheduling, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and knowledge of medical terminology. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) credential.
