Medical Reports Team Lead

Department: GP Assistants

Employment Type: Fixed Term - Full Time

Location: Penrose Surgery & Penrose Maddock Way

Compensation: £30,000 - £32,000 / year

Medical reports support everything from insurance claims to safeguarding and legal processes. Your role is to ensure every report is managed professionally, accurately and within agreed timescales.

You'll work alongside your team completing reports while coordinating workload, supporting colleagues and driving continuous improvement.

You'll monitor workload, support colleagues, improve processes and make sure patients don't experience delays because paperwork gets stuck.

What you'll do

  • Lead the medical reporting function.
  • Personally manage a portfolio of medical reports.
  • Coordinate priorities across the team.
  • Monitor service standards and deadlines.
  • Support colleagues with complex requests.
  • Improve reporting processes and quality assurance.
  • Build strong relationships with clinicians and external organisations.
