Under limited supervision, the Medical Records Specialist – Vital Records supports Health Information Management by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and timely processing of vital and patient records. This position primarily manages birth certificate workflows, including data entry, verification, corrections, and submission, while cross-training in death certificate processes and other HIM functions. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, organization, and the ability to multitask.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative support role within a healthcare, including basic knowledge of computers & operation. Medical Terminology needed. Organizational skills required & ability to multi-task.
