Broughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for the Medical Records Manager II which serves as the Director of Broughton Hospital’s Health Information Management (HIM) Department.
This role is responsible for the overall supervision and direction of HIM operations, including direct oversight of staff and departmental functions.
The HIM Department at Broughton Hospital ensures the accuracy, security, and accessibility of patient health information. HIM supports high-quality care by maintaining timely, compliant electronic documentation, and providing security of electronic records while continuing to manage and preserve physical records in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements.

Salary Range: $47.935.00 - $71,901.00

Broughton Hospital is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals with statutory responsibility for operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). With the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, we provide help and support to North Carolinians, and their families, experiencing mental illness. Our hospital serves the western thirty-seven (37) counties of North Carolina, as part of the state's system of care and treatment for persons with mental illness.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in medical record science or medical record administration from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in medical record work;
or
Completion of a medical record technician program from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in medical record work one of which must have been in a supervisory capacity;
or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
