As the Medical Records Assistant you will be responsible for all activates of the Medical Records Department, including, but not limited to: processing requests for release of information, transcription of patient record materials, and general maintenance of patient records.
Please note this is a full-time, on-site role based out of Wickenburg, AZ. Please only apply if this location and commute work for you.
Essential Duties Include:
Records Analysis / Maintenance
Analyze data to ensure records meet regulatory and company standards/ policies / procedures, protocols, as well as industry best practices. Assemble records / data in established format in a manner consistent with laws, regulations, and company policy.
Release of Information / Privacy
Process release of information in a manner consistent with security and confidentiality laws, regulations and company policy.
Other
Ability to converse in English with others to give, take and process information, extensive use of telephone.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, multi-task, coordinate projects and record/transcribe general and specific meeting minutes.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Communicate with other staff to relay concerns and observations involving patient safety.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required
Experience with medical records industry standards and medical / clinical terminology.
