Medical Records Assistant

Lacamas Creek Post Acute

Lacamas Creek Post Acute is seeking a detail oriented and organized Medical Records Assistant to join our team on a part time basis. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate resident medical records while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and confidentiality standards.

Pay

  • $19.29 to $24.11 per hour, based on experience

Schedule

  • Part time

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize resident medical records in both electronic and paper formats
  • Ensure medical records are complete, accurate, and up to date
  • Process admissions, discharges, and transfers related to medical records
  • File, scan, and retrieve documents as needed
  • Protect resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with medical record audits and regulatory compliance
  • Respond to requests for medical records in accordance with facility policies
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous medical records or healthcare administrative experience preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and medical records procedures preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
