Riccarton Clinic is a well-established, multidisciplinary healthcare provider located at Church Corner in Upper Riccarton, Christchurch. We offer both comprehensive General Practice and accredited Urgent Care services, delivering a wide range of healthcare support to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of our community. General Practice services operate on weekdays, while our Urgent Care service is open from 8.00am to 8.00pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Reception Team Leader to lead our Front of House team and help deliver an exceptional patient experience. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily reception operations and ensuring the delivery of efficient and patient-centred service across the clinic. Working closely with clinical and administrative teams, you will lead and develop the reception team while maintaining high standards of service. Key accountabilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Leading, coaching, and supporting the reception team to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
• Coordinating front of house operations to ensure a seamless patient journey.
• Managing patient enrolment processes and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Ensuring data quality, privacy, and compliance with relevant healthcare and enrolment requirements.

What we are looking for:

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced reception or administration professional with proven leadership capability and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. In addition, we are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience leading or supervising a reception, administration, or customer service team within a healthcare environment.
• A minimum of five years' experience in a healthcare reception or medical administration role.
• Previous experience with roster administration is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of Medtech Evolution (essential).
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a busy environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
