Job Description

Want to improve Australia’s heart health? Our team is our impact and our future. Join something special at Advara HeartCare.

Our Best Starts with You!

At Advara HeartCare, we’re building something important. Something special.

For more than 20 years, our Australian-owned business has developed a proud reputation based on quality outcomes and patient care. We’re the largest cardiology provider in Australia, with more than 90 centres and 100 doctors. Now, we’re shaping a future where world-class care is the standard of care.

We can’t achieve this without our incredible people. That’s why we’re creating a workplace and culture where you can truly thrive.

Your Impact, With Us

As our valued Medical Receptionist, you’ll provide warm, professional, and efficient administrative support across our busy Coffs Harbour clinics.

You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our patients, helping ensure their experience is smooth, respectful, and informed — making a meaningful difference from the moment they walk through the door.

You’ll make a meaningful impact by:

  • Managing appointment bookings, rescheduling, and patient communications
  • Liaising with hospital staff, doctors, and clinical teams
  • Checking patient GP referrals and Medicare data for accuracy
  • Answering incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Processing billing and receipting for patient accounts, including Medicare and DVA
  • Supporting the team with efficient use of our Health Track system

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in administration or customer service, ideally in healthcare or aged care
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support patients sensitively
  • Confidence in billing/receipting medical accounts (Medicare and DVA experience preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

We would also love you to have:

  • A calm, professional attitude and a positive approach to fluctuating workloads
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • High attention to detail and comfort with clinical administration software

  • Your impact, with us – Help improve patient care and outcomes across Australia
  • Your growth, with us – Access learning and development opportunities in a fast-growing organisation
  • Your voice, with us – Be heard, valued, and part of something bigger

You’ll also enjoy:

  • Flexible work arrangements where possible to support work-life balance
  • Performance-based recognition and support for career progression
  • The opportunity to work for one of the most influential healthcare providers pioneering the way forward in innovation for treatments of heart disease.
