
The South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury which provides a variety of health services to Aboriginal people in the South West, Great South, Upper wheatbelt and Peel Regions of Western Australia. SWAMS delivers a wide range of Services including: GP Clinics, Primary Health Care, Counselling, NDIS and community host various programs. SWAMS has a strong growth strategy through partnership opportunities and future community development.
The SWAMS is dedicated to enhancing employment opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This position is designated under Section 50 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA), and as such, only Aboriginal people are eligible to apply.
SWAMS is currently seeking a permanent full time Medical Receptionist to join their team of superstar Receptionists. Ideally the person stepping into this role can work 8.45am to 5.06pm, Monday to Friday (we may be able to adjust this slightly so please ask) and be open to travelling to some of our outreach clinics to assist when needed. A vehicle is provided for these trips and will include Collie or Busselton locations. No weekend or evening work is required.
As Receptionist at SWAMS you will be the first person our clients meet. You will have an opportunity build relationships with our regular clients and be able to assist them with getting the care they need. If you love meeting people, then this could be the role for you. Experience in medical reception work is not essential in this role as training will be given. However, we are looking for people who are reliable, trustworthy and have desire to learn. Days can be varied but would include:
