Medical Receptionist / Front Desk

Job Duties:

• Greet and assist patients, families, and healthcare providers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Check patients in and accurately enter demographic and insurance information into the EMR system.
• Schedule appointments and collect necessary information from patients and referring providers.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient questions and concerns.
• Explain required paperwork, insurance benefits, and payment responsibilities.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, deposits, and other patient payments.
• Reconcile daily transactions and prepare bank deposits.
• Assist with insurance benefit verification, coordination, and communication.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Previous medical office or general office experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance benefits preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to type at least 40 WPM
• Must be professional, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
