Medical Receptionist | Riccarton Clinic
Part Time | 30 Hours per Week

Riccarton Clinic is seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team. This part-time role (30 hours per week) is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, appreciates variety, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service to patients and whānau.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for everyone who visits or contacts the clinic. Working within both our General Practice and Urgent Care environment, you'll support the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic while ensuring patients receive exceptional care and service from the moment they arrive. Riccarton provides healthcare services 365 days a year and is one of Christchurch's leading accredited Urgent Care providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a warm, professional, and positive experience for patients and visitors
• Managing appointment bookings, phone enquiries, and patient communications
• Registering patients and supporting front-desk administrative processes
• Maintaining accurate patient information and medical records
• Assisting with patient flow across General Practice and Urgent Care services
• Working closely with doctors, nurses, and the wider clinical team
• Supporting an organised, efficient, and welcoming clinic environment
• Processing payments and handling general reception duties

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in reception, administration, customer service, or healthcare
• Confidence using computer systems and learning new technology
• The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

• A genuine passion for helping people

Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential. We value reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
