We’re currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team. This is a great opportunity for a well organised and adaptable administration officer who thrives in a busy environment to support our patients, visitors and clinicians. In this position you will play a pivotal role to deliver exceptional customer service while providing effective and accurate administrative support in a busy private Emergency Centre.
About Us:
Brisbane Northside Emergency (BNE) is 24-hour, 7 day a week, fee-for-service emergency department based in Chermside, Brisbane. We are located adjacent to The Prince Charles Hospital and St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside. We have a full suite of facilities including radiology and can quickly engage specialists for emergency surgery.

Things that work for us:
Ability to work on a permanent-part-time basis (16 hours per week) with flexibility to integrate into a 24-hour roster, day/evening/night shifts is essential
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Receptionist, or similar role.
Strong customer service skills.
Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
An understanding of medical terminology preferable
The ability to professionally liaise with colleagues, patients, visitors, and medical professionals
The ability to maintain a high level or of professionalism and confidentiality.
Excellent telephone manner
Attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
The ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
