The Medical Physicist ensures the highest level of accuracy and safety across all radiation oncology services provided by or affiliated with Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) This role performs routine radiation measurements, maintains precise records, and supports quality assurance across treatment programs. The Medical Physicist also participates in interdisciplinary meetings and chart reviews to uphold clinical and procedural accuracy.
This position oversees all aspects of brachytherapy—including safety processes, procedural accuracy, and documentation—and ensures the proper commissioning, calibration, and ongoing performance of radiation therapy equipment. Additionally, the role contributes to key administrative and regulatory functions such as NRC documentation, participation in the Radiation Safety Committee, and review of departmental policies and procedures.
