Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Medical Officer to join our clinical team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic abilities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves managing a wide range of medical cases while working closely with supervising consultants to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients medical history, symptoms, and concerns.
• Provide treatment and preventive healthcare services under the supervision of the Medical Director.
• Conduct physical examinations, interpret test results, and diagnose illnesses.
• Communicate clearly with patients about diagnoses, treatment procedures, and medications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Refer patients to specialists/consultants when advanced care is required.
• Ensure confidentiality, impartiality, and professionalism in patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and clinical teams.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and junior clinical personnel.

Requirements

• MBBS degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
• 1 - 3 years of post-NYSC clinical experience.
• Current and valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Strong knowledge of general medical practice and patient care.
• Proficiency in computer use and EMR systems.
• Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
