• Assess and examine all patients that come to Accident & Emergency.

• Carry out investigations asrequiredand give treatment accordingly.

• Provide emergency treatment where necessary (while waiting forarrival ofConsultant).
• Consult the relevant Consultant if there in doubt in managing the patient.
• Refer toappropriate Consultantif the patient needs Specialist attention or condition needs.
• Admission or upon request by patient or patient relatives.

• Responsible towards the management of all inpatients in the absence of the Specialist.

• Attend to ward emergencies.

• Consult relevant consultant (ifrequired)pertaining tomanagement of patients.

• Refers results of investigation to relevant consultant so thatappropriate managementdetails can be obtained.

• Performed procedures suchas setting up intravenous lines if the SRNs are unable to perform.

• Administer intravenous drugs.

• Document, where necessary all assessment examination investigation and treatment in patients’ notes.

• Responsible and accountable tocarry out duties as employee stipulated in OSH Act & Regulations 1994.

• To take reasonable to carry at work for the safety of yourself and other persons.

• To co-operate withyour employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years experience inA&E orWards.
• Good interpersonal, communication skill and fluent in both spoken and written English.

• IT literate.

• Willing to work shift duties/weekends/ Public Holidays.
