Job Description

Prairieview Surgical Centre, a division of Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting for a casual Medical Office Assistant (MOA) Casual.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet all patients and screen them as per facility guidelines.
  • Pre-screen all the facilities upcoming surgeries as per facility
  • Patient registration
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with them appropriately.
  • Organize patient charts and enter appropriate data into EMR system.
  • Organize courier services as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and waiting room.

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program with Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with accurate data entry / keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Ability to adhere to strict regional policies and procedures and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Experience using Sunrise Enterprise Registration (SER) and OR Manager systems an asset.
