The Medical Material Specialist II (MMS II) performs clerical and physical tasks for all warehouse support service activities supporting the Navy Medical Readiness Logistic Command’s (NMRLC) Expeditionary Medical System (EXMED) mission. The employee will perform tasks involved in receiving, shipping, storing (stowing), selecting (picking) supply turn-in (disposal), packing (kitting and stuffing) or unpacking (downloading) and inventory of general or specialized material and equipment. The MMS will utilize the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) database, or Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) database, or other DoD authorized systems to accurately account for and process the Table of Allowances (TOA) which are sometimes also referred to as Authorized Medical Allowance Lists (AMALs) or Authorized Dental Allowance Lists (ADALs) which comprise EXMEDS.

Work is performed in an austere environment, such as a warehouse. May require walking to and from other nearby warehouses. Warehouse equipment can be found in each warehouse. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment during the duty day, such as steel-toe shoes, hard hat, hearing protection, glasses, gloves, etc. May be exposed to extreme cold or heat. Some exposure to background noise and/or noise from equipment.
