About This Position

TJFACT is seeking a qualified Medical Logistics Supply Specialist to support the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency (DHA) located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD This role will provide Medical and Equipment Management Logistics Services for the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense.


Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, provisioning and assisting in requirements determination, acquisition and distribution, consumption, retention and disposal in material management.
  • Perform inventories and analyses on material requirements. Input materiel stock information into the DMLSS or Logicole systems to assist the COR in making procurement decisions in order to meet the materiel requirements of the organization.
  • Review Government customer materiel disposal requests and inspect the items/materiel to verify their condition. Provide the COR with the results of disposal request reviews, and the COR will manage the disposal and excess property processes through the Defense Logistics Agency.
  • Review stock level data in DMLSS or Logicole daily to determine the quantity of items required to provide materiel support; included are the development, adjustment and justification of estimates and the management of materiel relative to organizational requirements. The contractor shall make recommendations to the COR regarding stock purchases based on daily review of inventories.
  • Review laboratory materiel requests daily to ensure requests were made using the correct materiel stock numbers, units of issue, and materiel names. Additionally, review materiel requests to ensure that the laboratories are requesting materiel quantities and types that are reasonable for the experiments and studies being performed. When the request contains materiel that either is out of stock or not historically stocked, the contractor should use their expertise and provide the laboratory at least one suitable substitute. Manage, track, inventory and provide document control for all materiel request deliveries to ensure the laboratory requests are fulfilled by the specified date and time and audit compliance for Government Purchase Card, DMLSS, and Contract receipt documents.
  • Run stock and inventory reports from the DMLSS and Logicole on a daily or weekly basis and file them onto the USAMRICD network. Run ad-hoc inventory reports and prepare materiel data for presentations and reports on at least a monthly basis.
  • Conducts supply/demand studies to assist the Government with forecasting inventory supply needs based on requirements such as knowledge of previous demand programs and operations of utilizing activities, procurement lead time and current stock levels.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen
  • At minimum an Associate of Arts (AA); or Associate of Science (AS); or Associate of Applied Arts (AAA); or Associate of Applied Science (AAS)
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to fulfill the key responsibilities as listed.
