To perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and guidelines
Perform routine tests according to professional standards and guidelines
Monitor sample management, including sorting and allocation based on testing requirements
Process clinical chemistry, immunology and serology, autoimmune, haematology, coagulation, blood transfusion and clinical microscopy tests and related laboratory functions
Conducts analysis of body fluids, blood specimens, urine and spinal fluid
Result analysis and verification of accuracy of findings
Contribute to relevant quality improvement initiatives aimed at mitigating risks, compliance governance and increased patient safety
Actively contribute and guide, where needed, relevant training and health and safety initiatives
Operate, calibrate, and monitor effective functioning of standard laboratory equipment that includes analysers and maintenance of temperature logs
A relevant Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory sciences or a related field
At least 3-5 years' full time experience as a medical laboratory technologist in clinical chemistry
