Job Description

Come join a Laboratory team that makes a difference in the lives of their patient each and every day! MUSC/Florence, SC is currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)/Medical Technologist (MT) to join their phenomenal team full-time! Available in 3 locations (see information below on each location). PRN positions are also available.

Work Shift

Performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures. Prepares specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures. Operates automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Performs quality control and assurance procedures. Records lab results in specified system. Follows all required HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.

Education: Graduate of an accredited/NAACLS approved program for Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).

Certification: ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW required

Experience: One to two years’ experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred, but will gladly accept new grads!

Shifts Available:

  • 2nd shift/part-time with rotating weekends
  • 3rd shift/full time with rotating weekends
