Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Organize work by matching the bar code details with the test required on the HIS.
• Sort specimens for testing.
• Ensure timely preparation of solutions, reagents, stains and other materials as may be required.
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and/or electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
• Arrange reports for validation and delivery prior to competency assess.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verify equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting.
• Monitor quality control measures and protocols.
• Monitor stock and responsible for the stock for the assigned section.

What are we looking for?

• A bachelor’s degree in biomedical, biology, Chemistry, biotechnology, life sciences or any related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in similar field
• Good knowledge of laboratory practices (testing, analysis, safety, efficient reporting, compliance, troubleshooting)
• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
