Saint Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza is looking for a Medical Lab Scientist for our Microbiology department. You will have the opportunity to perform an extremely broad range of tests.
Shift Details : Full Time Day shift, four 10-hour days per week, and 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rotating weekends (work every 3rd weekend)
Responsibilities
Performsaccurate and reliable analyses requiring a complex network of steps and variables
Recognizes technical, instrument or physiological problems, identifying causes and evaluating alternative solutions
Confirms and verifying laboratory results utilizing in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles and instruments
Correlates and interpreting data based on knowledge of physiological conditions affecting test results
Establishes and monitors quality assurance programs
Participates in performance improvement programs
Must have ASCP accreditation orpass ASCP registry within 9 months of hire
Medical Lab Scientist experience in Microbiology preferred
Bachelor's degree in related Science field required
