Liquidia Technologies seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Information Manager to join our dynamic Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC team. As a key contributor to our Medical Affairs department, you will be crucial in authoring and disseminating accurate, current, and fair-balanced scientific and medical information. Your expertise will help ensure that healthcare professionals and patients receive timely and reliable information, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. In this role, you will own the development and maintenance of standard medical response documents and the company’s medical information repository, ensuring healthcare professionals, patients, and internal partners receive timely, evidence-based responses to medical inquiries about Liquidia’s products. Provide off-hours support for urgent medical inquiries and represent Medical Affairs at scientific congresses through booth engagements.

This role also supports the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review of promotional and scientific materials and contributes to Medical Education initiatives. You will serve as the primary lead for Medical in the Publication Review Committee (PRC), overseeing the review and approval of scientific publications and promotional materials to ensure accuracy and compliance. The Medical Information Manager safeguards scientific and regulatory integrity across all communications while helping Medical Affairs serve as a trusted resource across the organization. The ability to synthesize complex data and communicate effectively will be essential in supporting our mission to develop innovative therapies for rare and life-threatening diseases.

This role will also monitor scientific literature and communicate new data to relevant internal groups. This role will develop, organize, and maintain the company’s repository of standard medical responses, FAQs, and reference materials. Management of the copyright clearinghouse, RightFind, and publication library, Endnote, is necessary to communicate and house relevant information.

Responsibilities

Medical Inquiries:

  • Respond to verbal and written medical inquiries from internal and external customers related to the post-launch product.
  • Serve as the primary author for medical information letters, dossiers, and other documents/presentations.
  • Disseminate relevant scientific and medical information that is consistent, current, accurate, and fair-balanced.
  • Support the capture and report cases, including adverse events and product complaints, while maintaining corporate compliance.
  • Develop or update thorough data-driven responses to customer inquiries.
  • Communicate information timely to internal and external customers to help them make informed decisions.
  • Work closely cross-functionally with departments (ex., Pharmacovigilance, quality and field medical) to ensure the successful completion of shared activities.
  • Support as appropriate the development of publications by performing meticulous proofreading and editing of all medical content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

Promotional and Scientific Materials:

  • Review of medical and promotional content to the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) and Promotional review process in the appropriate Veeva systems in conjunction with the Director, Medical Affairs.
  • Perform medical accuracy review of promotional materials containing medical content.
  • Ensure all content complies with regulatory and company standards before submission.
  • Track and manage feedback from reviewers and implement necessary revisions.

Medical Inquiries Resource Development and Support:

  • Develop, organize, and maintain the company’s repository of standard medical responses, FAQs, and reference materials.
  • Ensure all medical inquiry resources are scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory and company standards.
  • Provide ongoing updates and maintenance of these resources in response to new evidence, product updates, and regulatory guidance.
  • Support Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams by ensuring timely access to accurate, approved medical content for responding to inquiries.
  • Review ongoing key publications, providing a summary review to stay current and share concise summaries with the Medical Affairs team and other key cross- functional stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all communications comply with relevant regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
  • Stay updated on industry guidelines and best practices for medical and scientific communication.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with an active pharmacy license or completion of a Residency or Fellowship in Medical Information.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry/medical information experience.
  • Experience in abstracting databases (Embase and PubMed) for literature searches and full-text document retrieval.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver under tight timelines. Awareness of regulations and guidelines related to Medical Information and Medical Affairs.
  • Strong writing and editing skills to prepare medical response letters, scientific summaries, and HCP-facing content with accuracy and clarity.
  • Familiarity with the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review process and standards for promotional and scientific materials.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively across Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial teams to align messaging and ensure compliance.
  • Strong influencing, facilitation, and presentation abilities; capable of serving as a medical information subject matter expert internally and externally.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Up to 15% domestic travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of medical writing experience.
  • Participation in accredited medical writing associations (e.g., American Medical Writers Association) is a plus.
  • Experience with IRMS – Information Request Management System or Veeva MI as a user and administrator, or technical proficiency with the ability to quickly learn.
  • Experience with publication review.
  • Clinical experience in pulmonary hypertension.
