A Brief Overview
Plans, directs and coordinates administrative activities of the Advanced Modality areas for the medical center and/or clinics by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff.

Education Qualifications

  • Successfully completed a 2-year AMA School of Radiologic Technology is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree Four years' experience in post graduate work in an Advanced Modality may be substituted for education. Required


Experience Qualifications

  • 4 years Post graduate experience in Advance Modality. A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for this experience. Required
  • 1 year Supervisor experience. Required


Licenses and Certifications

  • Appropriate license for modality is required.
  • ARRT to practice in area is required. Kansas License Radiology is required within 60 days upon hire if needed in advanced modality.


What you will do

  • Supervise daily activities of the Advanced Modality department to include, but not limited to, daily work assignments, problem solving, review time sheets and approve time off requests.
  • Observe and/or obtain reports concerning work performance, workflow and problems that take necessary action to resolve.
  • Coordinate the flow of outpatients with house patients, as needed, in order to keep waiting time to a minimum and expedite patients as needed.
  • Develop and maintain work schedules to obtain optimum care and treatment of the patients and the most effective use of department personnel.
  • Participate in the creation or revisions of the policy/procedure manual and enforce each policy & procedure.
  • Review established budgets on a monthly bases and operate within the set guidelines.
  • Insure no procedures or exams are completed without appropriate orders and diagnosis.
  • Provide input in the hiring, firing, counseling and disciplining within the department.
  • Complete performance reviews to include introductory and annual reviews.
  • Attend meetings as requested by the System Director.
  • Assist with the review of equipment for replacement.
  • Work with patients, families, other healthcare providers to provide the best care possible.
