Job Description

first shift, Monday - Friday

Plans, directs, and monitors general operations, utilization, efficiency, lifecycle, and compliance factors related to a broad array of medical equipment used in acute and non-acute care settings. Manages hospital medical equipment resources in a manner that provides safe, productive, and cost effective equipment for patients and patient care staff. Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and manages the inventory of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinates with vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
  • Develops and implements maintenance schedules for medical equipment.
  • Conducts regular inspections of medical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Trains staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Keeps accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
  • Develops reporting tools and dashboards for equipment management and operating efficiencies including, developing management goals, objectives, policies and procedures.


Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field, required.

  • Advanced skills pertaining to healthcare contracting.
  • High level of initiative, self-direction and accountability for actions.
  • Interpersonal skills required to provide effective interactions with department staff, hospital personnel, medical and nursing staff, vendors/contractors and other institutions.
  • Supervisory and managerial skills required to hire, train, evaluate, develop, positively coach, and organize staff.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem solving skills required to analyze existing processes and implement improvements, to resolve operational and interpersonal issues, to develop and monitor budgets, and to assure the provision of quality services.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting.
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and Lotus Notes.


Experience:

Five years of experience in healthcare related supply chain, required.
