Job Description

Fire and Safety Australia is currently recruiting experienced, Rio Tinto–inducted Medical Emergency Services Officers (MESOs) for short-notice and ongoing coverage at Rio Tinto sites. We are happy to consider maximum-term contracts for the right candidates.

To be considered, candidates must have at least six months’ experience on a Rio Tinto site, a minimum of two years’ experience as a MESO, and be confident working independently and leading Emergency Response Team (ERT) training.

These roles are available for immediate start - You must be residing in WA to be considered for this role.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue - Including Vertical and Confined Space Rescue/Fire Team Ops
  • Minimum of Cert IV Health Care (Ambulance) HLT41115 or higher
  • Current MR/HR Drivers Licence
  • Rio Tinto Sap Induction - Desirable
  • Current CPR - (No older than a year)
  • Current Police Clearance - (No older than a year)
  • Minimum 6 Months on a Rio Tinto site - Desirable
  • Ability to work solo with a minimum of 2 year's experience on a mine site in a similar role
