This is a fantastic opportunity to joinSmith+Nephewon a 1 yearFixed Term Contractas a Medical Education Meeting Planner (European Markets), where you will play a key role in delivering high quality medical education programmes across Europe. Based in a hybrid role out of Watford, you will work at the heart of a collaborative, fast paced environment, bringingexpertise,creativityand precision to every event you deliver.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will take full ownership of the planning and delivery of medical education meetings across the European market, managing everything frominitialconcept through to post event evaluation. Working closely with Medical Education, Program Managers and a wide range of internal and external partners, you will act as a true business partner, bringing structure,creativityand precision to every programme.
You will lead the entire event lifecycle, including venue sourcing, cityselectionand contract negotiation, working with hotels, AVprovidersand other suppliers to secure the best solutions while managing budgets and ensuring value at every stage. From registration and attendee management to travel, accommodation,foodand beverage andon sitelogistics, you will ensure each event is delivered seamlessly and to the highest standard.
On site, you will provide hands on support, troubleshooting issues calmly and confidently to ensure a consistently excellent experience for all participants. You will also manage post event reporting,evaluationsand budget reconciliation, using insights to continuously improve future programmes. Throughout everything you do, you will ensure full compliance with internal policies, codes of conduct and local regulations relating to interactions with healthcare professionals, while staying ahead of industry trends and contributing to the ongoing evolution of medical education delivery.
What will you need to be successful?
Success in this role comes from your ability to manage complexity with confidence whilemaintainingexceptional standards.
Strong experience inend to endmeeting and event planning, ideally within medical,healthcareor regulated environments
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail, organisation andproblem solvingskills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset
Confident communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal teams and external partners
