The Department of Medical Education at Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix Campus, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. We seek a multidisciplinary medical educator with expertise in one or more areas of the foundational and clinical sciences, including but not limited to pharmacology, neuroscience, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, immunology, pathology, or related disciplines. The successful candidate will contribute broadly to the integrated medical curriculum and will have opportunities to teach across multiple content areas based on their expertise and the needs of the program. Teaching responsibilities will include instruction of first- and second-year medical students within the MD program, as well as the Physician Assistant program. We seek creative, innovative educators to join our collaborative team.

Candidates are expected to have earned a terminal degree in a relevant biomedical, health science, or clinical discipline, and demonstrate a strong record of teaching excellence. Experience teaching across multiple disciplines or integrating foundational science with clinical medicine is highly desirable. Experience with active-learning strategies, including team-based learning, case-based learning, problem-based learning, and other learner-centered approaches, is preferred. A background in curriculum development, educational technology, assessment, and curricular innovation is also desirable. The successful candidate will have unique opportunities to serve in significant leadership roles while contributing to innovative curriculum development, student mentorship, faculty collaboration, and the expansion of clinical and research partnerships throughout the Phoenix healthcare community.

Creighton University is one of the nation’s largest Catholic educators of health professionals, anchored by primary campuses in Omaha, Nebraska, and Phoenix, Arizona. The Phoenix campus is a vibrant hub for nearly 1,000 health sciences students across five schools and colleges, supported by the extensive clinical facilities of the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance. While our School of Medicine has a rich history dating back to 1892, our Phoenix presence is rapidly growing, expanding in 2021 from a regional clinical training site into a comprehensive, four-year medical education program.
