The Medical Director, Crisis & Urgent Care Services should have one of the following minimum qualifications:
Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.)
Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
Monarch is searching for a BE/BC Medical Director, Psychiatrist, Crisis & Urgent Care Services for our facility opening in August 2026 in Concord, NC, just north of Charlotte. The candidate will either be a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, or a General Psychiatrist with some experience treating children/adolescents. Additional experience in Addiction Medicine is a plus.
The Stephen M. Morris Behavioral Health Center is a 60,000 sf, 72 patient 24-hour Tier 4 facility. The center will have a 24 Bed PRTF for Children/Adolescents, a 16 Bed FBC for Children/Adolescents, and a Behavioral Health Urgent Care for both Adults and Children/Adolescents. There is a preference for someone who can work onsite until the program is up and running, then a hybrid role may be considered.
The Medical Director, Psychiatrist, Crisis & Urgent Care Services will be responsible for oversight (including the planning, developing, and implementation) of the delivery of medical services provided by the Stephen M Morris Behavioral Health Center. This includes ensuring quality of providers and quality of services delivered. The Medical Director will work closely with the medical leadership team, and other clinical leaders, on the clinical initiatives of the group. The Medical Director will ensure that structures for clinical operations are developed that promote companywide consistency and integrity of clinical treatment. This is a clinical position requiring 40% time for direct patient care and 60% time for administrative duties. Additional Advanced Practice Provider (APP) clinical oversight will be expected and considered within the clinical duties.
