Job Description

The Medical Director of Men's Health will provide strategic leadership and subject matter expertise across the Company's men's health portfolio, with a focus on endocrine and hormone related conditions. This role is responsible for shaping product strategy, driving cross functional alignment, and serving as a clinical and scientific authority for internal and external stakeholders.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute the annual Medical Affairs plan, aligning scientific goals with corporate strategy, product lifecycle management, and brand planning. Provide thought leadership on disease state, unmet patient needs, and market opportunities within men’s health (e.g., testosterone deficiency, metabolic disorders, fertility, sexual health). Collaborate with senior leadership to inform pipeline prioritization and lifecycle management decisions.
  • Serve as a key internal subject matter expert for men’s health and endocrine related conditions. Partner with Clinical Development to support trial design, protocol development, and data interpretation. Ensure all strategies and materials are scientifically accurate, evidence based, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Support publication planning and congress strategies.
  • Act as a strategic liaison across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access, Legal, and R&D teams. Provide medical and scientific input to brand strategy, promotional review committees, and training initiatives. Support field medical teams (MSLs) with scientific direction and educational resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, and professional societies. Represent the Company at national and international medical congresses, advisory boards, and symposia. Lead or participate in advisory board meetings to gather insights and inform strategic decision making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members within the men’s health function, as applicable. Foster a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and patient centricity.

Education:

  • Medical Doctor Degree MD/DO with post graduate training - Required
  • Board eligible/certified Endocrinologist - Preferred

Experience:

  • 8 years or more in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Healthcare industry
  • in Demonstrated leadership experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development or healthcare industry
  • in Proven ability to influence cross functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • in Direct experience in men’s health therapeutic areas (e.g., endocrinology, metabolic disease and hormonal therapy)
  • in Experience leading product launches and/or lifecycle management initiatives.
  • in Prior KOL engagement and advisory board leadership experience.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $280,000-$325,000 per year. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award as well as a long-term incentive award, such as restricted stock units, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.
