Medical Director (Neurology)- United States- Remote

We are currently looking for a Medical Director specializing in Neurology to join our global Medical Affairs team.

As a Medical Director at ICON, you will drive medical initiatives within project teams, guiding strategic direction and decision-making processes, and offer expert medical and scientific guidance, leveraging therapeutic expertise to inform project development. What You Will Do:

You will lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Medical Monitoring
• Providing strategic medical leadership and guidance on project teams.
• Offering expert medical and scientific consultation throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensuring compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in medical and safety monitoring activities.
• Reviewing medical data on the indication, inclusion / exclusion criteria and other medical issues to ensure our overall project deliverables are achieved
• Representing the Medical Affairs Department in business development initiatives, investigator meetings and project kick-off meetings.
• Providing operational oversight within the Medical Affairs Department as needed.

Your Profile:

You will bring significant medical and clinical research expertise and a passion for driving research forward.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Neurology required.
• Board Certified in Neurology
• Proven track record of medical leadership and consultation within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries or CRO space preferred.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the department effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to provide operational management in the absence of senior management.
• Experience working with phase II-III studies either in industry or as an investigator is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%)

This position can be home based anywhere in the United States.
