As the US Medical Director for maternal vaccines, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the US Medical Affairs Lead for Maternal Immunization, in the development and execution of strategic medical and scientific activities. The incumbent should be experienced with designing, evaluating, interpreting, summarizing, and presenting real-world evidence and will be skillful with data visualization and presentation tools to convert complex analysis into meaningful insights. In addition to the analytic component of the position, the incumbent will develop and deliver presentations, webinars, and other communication outlets, as needed.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As the US Medical Director, Maternal Vaccines, the incumbent will be responsible for executing US medical affairs activities. This will entail the following:
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of medical education across various channels with medical priorities
Translate complex and emerging scientific data into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders
Contribute to long-range medical planning, including lifecycle management and integration of new data into US medical strategy
Partner with Field Medical to shape scientific exchange priorities, field insights collection, and feedback loops to inform strategy refinement
Monitor and assess emerging scientific literature, competitive landscape, and public health trends relevant to maternal immunization, proactively recommending strategic implications
Guide external engagement strategy with national and regional medical societies, public health stakeholders, and professional organizations to support evidence-based maternal immunization decision-making
Provide medical review of grants and partnership activities Partner cross-functionally to support strategy on equitable access and awareness of maternal vaccination
Demonstrate expertise in communication across multiple channels, including, but not limited to, live and virtual presentations in small or large settings, and written communication
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PhD, DrPH in epidemiology, public health, or infectious disease, or Pharm D and 5+ years’ experience with additional training or experience in vaccines, infectious disease, public health, or epidemiology
Experience developing and scaling medical education through diverse and active learning channels
Experience in developing and executing key medical activities including medical congress strategies and expert advisory boards
Well-organized with the ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, and effectively lead in a matrix organization. Demonstrated strong work ethic, and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines.
Managed Care, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement Data Analytics and/or HEOR activities, with demonstrated strong methodological skills (study design, data analysis, and interpretation) in health services research
Demonstrated track record of high performance and excellence.
Ability to analyze, define, and convey complex concepts.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.

Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry
Experience analyzing healthcare data Understanding of the complex business environment within the US healthcare system as well as emerging healthcare trends

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176 600,00 to $294 300,00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20,0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
