Job Description

The University of Chicago’s Department of Pathology is searching for a Clinical Associate at 100% effort for a renewable term of up to two-years. The appointee will be based on the University of Chicago’s Hyde Park campus but may also cover off-site outpatient laboratories and will have clinical responsibilities in clinical pathology. The position reports to the Vice Chair for Clinical Pathology. The position does not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications. The department of Pathology at the University of Chicago has a long history of excellence. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible to hold a medical license in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana, 3) have board certification in Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology (with or without an additional subspecialty) through the American Board of Pathology, and 4) have the ability to carry and maintain CLIA licensure.

We especially welcome applicants with good communication skills and the ability to work as a team. Applicants with experience in administration, quality improvement, and lab operations preferred.
