The Position

Our team drives the transition of innovative medical devices and combination products from early development into robust, large-scale commercial manufacturing. We bridge the gap between technical design, global manufacturing networks, and continuous lifecycle management to ensure our solutions reliably reach patients worldwide.

The Opportunity

  • Develop and manage technical Industrialization and Sustaining Engineering activities end-to-end from innovation through commercialization.
  • Formulate and execute a multi-year strategy and roadmap based on evolving product and business requirements.
  • Lead a global technical matrix team while ensuring alignment across innovation, product, and technical development groups.
  • Apply design principles for manufacturing, assembly, industrialization, and life cycle management during product development.
  • Drive project goal-setting, supplier selection, and technical strategies in close collaboration with external partners and internal teams.
  • Oversee risk assessments, contingency planning, and capital expenditures (CAPEX) to secure long-term manufacturing capacity.
  • Provide strategic technical guidance to senior leadership across Technical Product Teams and manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure commercial launch readiness and lead post-launch technical activities, including complaint investigations, CAPA, and health reviews.

Who You Are

You are a visionary and collaborative technical leader who thrives in complex, matrixed environments. You bring an enterprise mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a servant-leadership approach that empowers cross-functional teams to overcome barriers and achieve ambitious strategic goals.

You also possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of total work experience, with 10+ years focused on medical device or combination product industrialization, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Expert-level technical and leadership capabilities, including resource allocation, decision-making, and driving end-to-end device strategies.
  • Proven track record in managing external contract negotiations and navigating IP landscapes alongside Procurement, Legal, and Finance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-project portfolios and integrating market feedback into long-term product roadmaps.
  • Advanced level of innovation skills, including influencing external partners and championing continuous improvement efforts.
  • Deep knowledge in industrialization and product sustaining management for complex systems, as well as quality, manufacturing equipment design and qualification, and process performance qualification.

This role requires to travel internationally up to a maximum of 10%
