Are you ready for an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the Industrialization and Sustaining Engineering of Medical Devices and Drug-Device Combination Products at Roche? As the Medical Device Technical Lead, you will be at the forefront of our future product portfolio, which will feature Device presentations in 60% of our offerings. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable production and supply chain readiness, from early development stages to execution at Sites, Suppliers, and CMOs. This is a unique chance to make a significant impact on the quality, cost-efficiency, and time to market of our products.
Develop and manage technical Industrialization and Sustaining Engineering activities from innovation to commercialization, ensuring budget and staffing requirements are met.
Create and execute a multi-year roadmap for Industrialization and Sustaining Engineering based on product and business needs.
Lead a global technical matrix team, driving end-to-end technical activities across the development and commercialization process.
Foster alignment between innovation teams, product teams, life cycle teams, and technical development teams.
Apply design principles for manufacturing, assembly, industrialization, and life cycle management during product development.
Share knowledge and exchange best practices with other Development, Industrialization, and Sustaining Engineering teams.
Drive supplier selection and ensure alignment with market needs and industrialization requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Medical Device Technical Lead.
B.S./M.S/Ph.D. degree in science, engineering, or a related field with extensive work experience and technical capabilities in medical device or combination product development, industrialization, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external senior-level clinical, commercial, and technical stakeholders.
Advanced level of innovation skills, including influencing external partners and championing continuous improvement efforts.
Advanced expertise and in-depth knowledge in industrialization and product sustaining management for complex systems, as well as quality, manufacturing equipment design and qualification, and process performance qualification.
Experience in external contract negotiation and partnership.
