About the Position:

A Medical Biller plays a crucial role in the healthcare billing process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient accounts and insurance claims. This position involves reviewing and verifying patient information, coding medical procedures and diagnoses, and submitting claims to insurance companies for reimbursement.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Using coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies
• Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to
• get a claim processed and paid
• Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims
• Verifying patients' insurance coverage
• Answering patients' billing questions
• Handling collections on unpaid accounts
• Managing the facility's Accounts Receivable reports
• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines especially Medicare and state Medicaid
• Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discounts
• Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
• All accounts are to be reviewed for insurance or patient follow-up

Requirements:

• Chiropractic Experience is a HUGE PLUS!!
