Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Billing & Client Support Specialist to join our team.
This role will primarily focus on handling billing-related inquiries from parents and clients, assisting with account and payment questions, and supporting day-to-day medical billing processes. The ideal candidate will combine strong customer service skills with prior experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, or medical aid support.
Candidates with experience in the American healthcare billing system are highly preferred. However, candidates with strong South African medical aid or healthcare administration experience and the ability to learn quickly will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls and billing inquiries from parents and clients professionally and efficiently
Assist with account balances, invoices, payment-related questions, and billing clarification
Support medical billing processes and maintain accurate billing records
Learn and work within the American healthcare billing system and internal processes
Provide empathetic and professional customer service while resolving billing concerns
Escalate complex billing issues when necessary
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive information
Assist with general administrative and billing support tasks as required
Requirements
Previous experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, medical aid, or healthcare finance support
Strong customer service and communication skills
Professional phone etiquette and fluent English communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to manage sensitive or difficult conversations professionally
Comfortable learning new systems and processes quickly
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Highly Advantageous
Experience with American medical billing systems
Exposure to insurance claims, patient accounts, or healthcare billing support
Experience working with international healthcare practices or clients
