Job Description

This position focuses on medical insurance verification of benefits, preauthorizations, and medical claim follow-up for oral surgery, implants, sleep dentistry, bone grafting, and medically necessary dental procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Complete detailed medical insurance verifications of benefits (VOBs)

• Submit and follow up on medical preauthorization

• Track and follow up on outstanding medical claims

• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and documentation requirements

• Review insurance policies and benefit limitations

• Maintain accurate documentation and spreadsheets

• Work closely with dental offices and billing specialists

• Assist with appeals and requests for additional documentation

Requirements

• Experience with dental or medical insurance billing preferred

• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is a plus

• Strong phone and communication skills

• Highly organized with attention to detail

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with insurance portals such as Availity, UHC, Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, and Humana preferred

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
