Responsibilities:
* Review medical records and assign appropriate codes for billing and reimbursement
* Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
* Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding queries
* Utilize Athena EMR system for coding and billing tasks
* Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and coding practices
Requirements:
* Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
* Proven experience in medical billing and coding, with proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
* Familiarity with Athena EMR system
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
