Job Title: Medical Biller (Remote)
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Work Days: Monday–Friday
Salary: $5–$6 per hour (depending on experience)
Workplace: Remote
Preferred Candidate Location: Philippines
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our client's growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience managing the full medical billing lifecycle.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing operations, timely reimbursements, and effective communication with the clinic regarding billing matters. We’re looking for someone who is not only technically strong but also kind, responsive, and professional in all interactions.
Scope of Work/Responsibilities
- Manage the full medical billing lifecycle, including:
- Claim submission
- Payment posting and reconciliation
- Denial management and follow-ups on unpaid claims
- Perform denial and non-payment follow-ups to ensure maximum reimbursement
- Generate and maintain billing reports and provide updates to the clinic
- Communicate effectively with the clinic regarding billing issues and resolutions
- Work with insurance providers including:
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- UHC
- ASH
- Workers’ Compensation
- Utilize billing platforms such as Availity, Waystar, RadMD, or similar tools
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all billing processes
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to improve billing workflows
- (Secondary Function – Preferred but not required)
- Assist with benefits verification and pre-authorizations, or be open to learning these functions
Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Medical education or degree: Not required
- Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant: Preferred but not required
- Medical license (e.g., RN, MD, PT): Not required
Basic Requirements
- Must be highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Must have relevant medical billing experience, especially end-to-end billing
- Strong experience in denial management and follow-ups
- Must be able to submit an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory)
- Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed
