We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Medical Assisting ProgramThis is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of EducationThe primary responsibility will be to teach Medical Assisting coursesThe typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation

Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred

• Certification:
  • CCMA and/or
  • CMA and/or
  • RMA

• At least three years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly organized, motivated and results driven

• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
