
Under direct supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, provides clinical and operational support to the Department of Urology outpatient practice locations spanning labs, office visits, and in-office procedures. Provides clinical and administrative support in all aspects of the Urology practice, pertaining to patient flow, clinical care and efficiency, and operational continuity. This role requires competency in both routine ambulatory care and urology-specific procedural workflows, including cross-coverage across Urology providers, subspecialties, and practice locations.
At least one year of related experience in a fast paced, high volume relevant specialty area is strongly preferred.
Previous training and/or experience with relevant office-based procedures within a clinical practice setting strongly preferred.
Completion of a Medical Assistant training program, including phlebotomy training, strongly preferred.
Proper phlebotomy training is required prior to performing phlebotomy responsibilities.
Ability to provide coverage spanning all Urology outpatient practice locations and providers in the borough of Manhattan, based on practice needs.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time, and physical exam requirements for direct patient care roles via Employee Health.
Shift times and locations spanning the Urology outpatient practice locations will vary , depending on the needs of the Department.
