Registered Medical Assistant and/or Certified Medical Assistant | Primary Care – 1280 Burns Way

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

At Logan Health, our Primary Care team at 1280 Burns Way is dedicated to providing compassionate, coordinated care to patients across a wide range of healthcare needs. We are seeking a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and/or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical care, patient communication, care coordination, and day-to-day clinic operations.

This role plays an important part in creating a positive patient experience by assisting providers, preparing patients for exams and procedures, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, documenting accurately, coordinating care needs, and supporting patients with professionalism, empathy, and respect.

What You'll Be Doing

• Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collect laboratory specimens, perform competency-validated clinical tasks, and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, scheduling, and follow-up appointments.
• Support daily clinic operations by maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies while assisting with patient calls and portal communications.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the requirements for LPN, RMA, or CMA:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Current licensure as required for the position.

OR

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA): Current Registered Medical Assistant credential through an accredited certifying organization.

OR

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA): Certification in one (1) of the following required:Certified Medical Assistant Exam through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)Registered Medical Assistant Exam through American Medical Technologists (AMT)Clinical Medical Assistant Exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)National Certified Medical Assistant Exam through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)Clinical Medical Assistant Certification through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
• RQI Provider (BLS) required within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before providing independent patient care, whichever comes first.

Preferred Experience

• One (1) year of experience in a medical practice setting preferred.
• Medical office experience and medical terminology training preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, basic laboratory values, pharmacology, infection control practices, and HIPAA requirements preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software systems as needed.

Shift:

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
