Minimum hourly rate starts at $17/hour and is commensurate with experience.
This position offers monthly incentive pay based on performance metrics.

Sign on bonus up to $2,000 (for eligible applicants.*)

Healthcare professionals such as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Paramedics, and PCTs with healthcare backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Job Requirements:

Education

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

AND

  • 1+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting

OR

  • One of the following MA certifications at the time of hire ( or must obtain within 12 months of hire):
  • CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association)
  • CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants, or CHP Certified Health Professionals)
  • RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists, or AAH, American Allied Health, or ARMA American Registry of Medical Assistants)
  • NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
  • NRCMA- Nationally Registered Certified Medial Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)

OR

  • One of the following:
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or LVN at the time of hire (verified through state license)
  • EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (verified through state certification and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)
  • Paramedic (verified through state certification and/or and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • CPOE certification required within 2 weeks of hire if MA certification is not obtained at hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)

One of the following certifications is required (or must obtain within 12 months of hire):

  • CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National HealthCareer Association)
  • CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant)
  • RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists or AAH, American Allied Health)
  • NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
  • NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)

Essential Responsibilities

  • Register patients and verify insurance and documentation
  • Schedule appointments and process co-pays
  • Prepare patients for examination and record medical history
  • Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments
  • Conduct point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG)
  • Assist providers with patient care and procedures
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records
  • Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals
  • Perform opening/closing duties and maintain equipment quality checks
  • Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment
  • All other duties as assigned.
