Starting pay within this range is determined based on your years of Medical Assistant work experience, while also considering internal equity to support fair and consistent compensation across comparable positions.
$750 referral bonus available! If a current employee referred you, be sure to include their name as your referral source when completing your application. This is required to qualify for the referral bonus.
Referral bonus eligibility requirements apply. Individuals who have previously worked for SMH are not eligible for the referral bonus.
There Are Multiple Ways to Qualify
You only need to meet ONE of the following three requirements:
Already certified?Have an active CMA or RMA certification through an accepted organization such as AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAH, or NAHP.
Have EMT license?Have a current EMT license plus at least one year of Medical Assistant or clinical healthcare experience.
Already working as a Medical Assistant but not certified?Must have at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience. You may qualify without current CMA/RMA certification, but you will be required to obtain an approved CMA or RMA certification within 12 months of hire.
High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Accepted certifications include: CMA (AAMA), NHA, NCCT, RMA (AMT or AAH), and NRCMA (NAHP).
